Many hands make light work at our Spring Meadow & Playscape Work Party
Saturday, April 26th from 10AM - 2PM
As spring emerges, so do changes across the Nature Museum grounds in the Chapman Meadow and Magic Forest Playscape. We invite our community to help us with various projects that will continue to improve access to natural spaces for exploration, play, and learning for all ages. Here’s a quick look at some of the work that we’ll need your help with:
Oil treating the Playscape Naturalists’ Cabin
Outdoor furniture construction
Footbridge construction
Wetland Buffer border post installation
Trail/path maintenance, and more!
No experience is needed, and volunteers are welcome to stop by at any time during our work party. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours!
We’ll be working rain or shine, so be sure to dress appropriately. You can check the forecast for Grafton here. Consider sturdy footwear, long sleeves, long pants, sun protection, and bug protection (ticks will be emerging!).
Work gloves and tools will be available to borrow, and volunteers are welcome to bring their own. Light snacks, refreshments, and water will be provided. Bring a reusable water bottle!
